BPL Watch: Total Bummer for Liverpool; Arshavin Strikes Four Times, Ties Game at 4-4.

Liverpool badly needed a win against Arsenal, but Andrey Arshavin kept on breaking their defense and totalled four goals to tie the game at Anfield. The Gunners almost had it won if not for an injury-time equalizer by Yossi Benayoun, who scored two goals in the game. Fernando Torres scored the other two for Liverpool.

Theo Walcott and Andrei Arshavin's deadly speed advantage made Liverpool's slow players pay, particularly Jamie Carragher and Alvaro Arbeloa.

Manchester United is now behind Liverpool in the league table on goal difference, but the Merseysiders are two games ahead. United hosts Portsmouth today.
